Job Description:
- To supervise, guide, love and care for a group of 5-8 campers during their entire week at Riverwoods.
Qualifications:
- Must have a desire to minister to children in a camp setting consistent with the goals, values and philosophy of Riverwoods.
- Must have an acceptable level of spiritual, mental, social and emotional maturity.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Organizational abilities, creativity and high energy.
Expectations:
- Follow all guidelines setup by Riverwoods, including the philosophy, goals and objectives of Riverwoods as well as any secondary procedures (dining hall, waterfront, etc.) and instructions.
- Model Christ-likeness in all things. Your attitude toward activities, inconveniences, Bible studies and other people will in every way determine the attitude of campers toward these things.
- Your spiritual and physical health are crucial to your ministry, therefore you are expected to have personal devotions, get 6-8 hours of sleep nightly and participate in all relevant meetings.
- Always be on time. If you are unable to be on time you must make your supervisor aware ahead of time.
- Have fun! Balance organization and spontaneity to create lasting positive memories for staff and campers.
- Assist with program evaluation at the end of each session and at the end of the summer.
- To encourage campers and teens with words and actions at all times.
- Develop discipling relationships to assist campers in growing and maturing through a variety of camp experiences.
- Help campers become more aware of God in every aspect of their lives so they are capable of continued growth on their own after camp.
