Riverwoods summer programs are divided into two main areas: residential camp for children ages 6-12 and teen programs for ages 13-18. Below is a brief overview of each area.

KidsCamp
Residential camp for kids focuses on introducing kids to Christ while having fun and building meaningful relationships. Each day of camp features activities such as nature walks, art projects, sports, games, canoeing, campfires, Bible studies, cabin conversations, skits, songs and more. Campers are divided into groups of 5-8 and assigned a counselor that shepherds them through their week at Riverwoods. Residential camp is made up of eight sessions, each going from Monday afternoon until Saturday morning. Each session is designated for specific communities we serve and kids are picked up and dropped of by Riverwoods right in there communities.
A typical day for a camper:
7:30 am – Wakeup
8:00 am – Breakfast/cleanup
9:30 am – Morning all-camp gathering
10:00 am – Activities in cabin groups
12:00 pm – Lunch/chapel
1:30 pm – Cabin discussion
2:00 pm – Afternoon activities
5:00 pm – Dinner/freeplay
6:30 pm – All-camp activity
7:00 pm – Evening all-camp gathering
8:00 pm – Campfire/freeplay
8:45 pm – Showers/cabin NighTalk
9:30 pm – Lights out/camp out
Teen Programs
There are five summer teen programs at Riverwoods. While each program varies in length and focus, all programs feature a combination of Bible studies, life skill development, business visits, outings, college visits, leadership development opportunities and service projects in addition to all the fun activities that campers enjoy.
Below is an outline of the five summer teen programs:
- Christ Our Real Power Source (CORPS) – 8 sessions, each 1 week long
- Leaders in Training (LIT) – 2 sessions, each 4 weeks long
- Senior Leaders in Training (SLIT) – 1 session, 6 weeks long
- College Bound 1 (CB1) – 1 session, 8 weeks long
- College Bound 2 (CB2) – 1 session, 8 weeks long
A typical day for a teen:
7:30 am – Wakeup

9:30 am – Business visit/college visit/leadership service opportunity

1:30 pm – Outing/activities/leadership service opportunity
5:00 pm – Dinner/freeplay

9:30 pm – XPress debrief
10:30 pm – Shower/cabin time
